Have you ever passed a woman at the mall and instantly became overwhelmed with incurable envy? Her skin is glowing, her lengthy eye lashes are a perfect combination between dramatic and sultry, and her eyebrows look like they have been shaped by angels themselves. Since the beginning of the female gender there has been a constant pressure to be beautiful. I’m pretty sure Eve only wanted that apple so she could use some of the red pigment for her lips to look good for Adam. Between magazines, movies, and other social influences, we are expected to be beautiful and many of us go through great lengths to meet those expectations, such as said Eve. The trends have flowed from the lips, to the lashes, and now to the brows. I don’t know how, but somehow someone realized the hairy arches above the eyes were important and not to be underrated or ignored. The eyebrows frame the eyes which is the main focal point on the face which means that the brows make a significant impact on first impressions. The state of your brows is a big deal; if you can’t take care of your brows, what can you take care of? But people are not just interested in having clean, up-kept brows. They want thick and full brows that make bystanders stop and stare in awe. This look can be achieved by filling them in, eye brow tinting, or now, microblading. So, I guess there is a cure for your envy.
Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique taking the beauty industry by storm. This method swears to take years off your age without the pain of having to going under the knife. This technique uses a handheld tool that inserts pigment into the top layer of the skin with 3-D feathery strokes which fills in and enhances your brows, giving them a perfect but realistic look. If you’re the type of woman who wants to roll out of bed in the morning with perfect brows (who doesn’t want that?) than this is something you should definitely consider. Microblading allows you to wake up and have that no-make up make up look, and as a woman, wouldn’t you want one less thing to worry about? Whether you’re going out with the girls or getting ready for work, you’ll have more time to work on your eye shadow or picking out your outfit rather than fussing around with your eyebrows.
As far as the pain goes, it has been compared to the pain of having your eyebrows threaded. Others have said it is a bearable pain, or that it is worth the pain because the results are so wow worthy but pain is a relative experience. It is a form of tattoo, so keep that in mind when considering the pain. The good news is that the results typically last 1- 3 years, which is 1 – 3 years of having perfect, hassle free (for the most part) eyebrows that will have onlookers dying to know how you have brows straight from heaven.
